Fishman Fission Bass Powerchord FX Pedal

I LOVE it! It seems to track well & sounds cool. The first gig we did, after the show another bass player came up to me to find out where I got my great tone. It does a nice job of filling in on a guitar solo.

Great Effects Pedal for the Bass Player

This is a very fine effects pedal--nicely designed, easy to use, and perfect for the bass player who needs to provide support for the lead and/or rhythm guitar player, especially in a small band. I keep the octave effect going on many tunes since it effectively "doubles" my bass and tastefully fills out my lines. My only complaint about the pedal is that it burns through batteries pretty quickly if you use it a lot, even if you use a lithium battery and take care to unplug the input jack when the pedal is not in use. The solution is simple--spend the extra money up front and get the Fishman 910R AC Adapter, and your problem is solved.

Fishman Fission Bass Pedal

This pedal really is Great! I'm not totally blown away because I can't get the stability I was looking for on the higher notes (I get a warbling sound) but I think I'm just asking it to do some things it just can't. Like, taking a hot signal and adding a lot of distortion. In my case, the pedal seems to be a bit more stable,tone wise, with my passive basses. A strong attack on the strings also seems to help, the stability issue, no matter what effect I'm using. It's a lot of fun to play rhythm and lead guitar parts on my bass.

I bought a JamMan looper pedal to go with it an now I'm laying down some loops that sound like an entire band with several different bass lines. My first efforts are Jazz/Rock fusion. It's a blast.
