Take Premium Recording Capability Anywhere Your Laptop Goes!

Use the PreSonus Firebox interface to get great-sounding audio into your computer — whether you're working from a cramped desktop or in the field with your laptop. Believe it or not, the Firebox packs a high-quality 4 x 6 Firewire interface into an incredibly small package, so it's perfect for your mobile recording rig. You'll definitely appreciate all this box's great features, including two premium mic/instrument preamps with phantom power, six balanced line outputs, and even included Studio One artist software! Don't settle for less from your portable FireWire rig; plug in and go, with the Firebox!

We love PreSonus because they always come up with innovative products that are always built with a real purpose in mind. In this case, the Firebox is built with maximum portability in mind (though it's got the goods when it comes to desktop recording, too). From its 24-bit/48kHz quality to its fantastic pair of onboard preamps, this interface is primed to perform just about anywhere you take your laptop! Considering its size, the Firebox has a ton of I/O options — including combination XLR/TRS inputs on the front panel, two TRS inputs on the rear, and six balanced line outputs. You can even send a "cue" mix the headphone output while you route your main mix to your studio monitors!

Once you've got the Firebox plugged into your computer via the FireWire connection (it works with both 4- and 6-pin configurations) you'll love the way it works for you. Want maximum control over your input signals? Use the included software router/mixer to take control of the Firebox's parameters, right on your computer. PreSonus even included their amazing Studio One Artist software, which gives you unlimited tracks, outstanding editing capabilities, effects, amp models, and thousands of loops. Performance, portability, features, amazing affordability — you get it all in the box, with the Firebox!

Sweetwater Advice

Mark Brody
The FireBox has a ton of value: it's built extremely well, sounds great, and has a lot of I/O considering the low price. I think it's great for any home studio, and musicians performing live with a laptop will appreciate its ruggedness and flexible connectivity. No matter how you look at it, the FireBox is an extremely useful interface and is ultra-reliable.

It just plain works!

I have to start by saying I have owned a LOT of USB and FireWire audio interfaces and PCI sound cards(Roughly 10 - 15).

Nothing though has been as easy to setup and use and have keep wo... read more [+]rking as the Presonus FireBox.

It just keeps working with no hangups. The I/O is a great mix for a interface this size, I don't do much with external routing to effect but if I needed to there is plenty of outs to feed to and 4 in's to return to.

Its worth every penny maybe more.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Presonus again.

I've been happy using an Edirol USB interface for a few years now, but when I talked to my rep about upgrading, he steered me to Firewire instead, Presonus as a brand, and the Firebox as perfect for m... read more [+]y needs. Suffice it to say that he was right in all respects. I'm now a definite Presonus fan, and love the Firebox; the software mixer and zero-latency recording are ingenious and incredibly useful, the preamps are noise-free and high power, the footprint is small... I can't think of a way this interface could be better. close [-]
