Record Audio into Finale Finale 2009 offers the ability to record audio into the program. This is great for adding vocal passages to classical pieces, adding horns to a jazz chart, or even import a rock tune to add horns using the built-in compositional and playback tools. This is the first time that a notation software has merged with the audio recording world, and it opens up a ton of options for really adding the human element to your projects. You will enjoy adding personal touches to classics, such as a putting your vocals to Broadway scores, jazz standards, and much more. Streamlined workflow The creation, entry, moving, and editing of dynamics, tempo indications, and other text and markings has been reinvented and streamlined. As a result, selection, entry, and placement of expressions is quick and intuitive. Once in your score, they are easily moved. You can instantly change the appearance of, for example, all your dynamics or rehearsal markings. You'll accomplish more - in less time - without sacrificing any of Finale's awesome power and control. It's also easy to move your markings around your score once they're entered. Garritan sounds Finale now includes more than 300 world-class instrument sounds from the makers of Garritan Personal Orchestra. Free new sounds include baritone saxophone, vintage electric piano, electric guitar, handbells, and more. The Garritan Aria Player is included FREE and is fully integrated into Finale 2009. The level of custom integration is unsurpassed and offers superior sound, more control, and a vastly improved user playback experience. Expanded SmartMusic support Finale 2009 makes it easier and faster to create assessable SmartMusic accompaniments with support for linked parts, repeats, and more. Now, with linked part support, they create just one file for the entire ensemble, assign the piece to the whole group with SmartMusic Impact, and their students simply select their individual parts. This represents a tremendous savings in time and effort. Plus, the creation process has been greatly simplified. Now you can save any new or existing Finale file as a SmartMusic solo, ensemble, or assessable accompaniment - you don't need to know you're creating an accompaniment before you start. Copy and paste measures from one page to the next, or drag slurs from the end of one page to the beginning of another, and much more. Choose from multiple viewing options including single pages, facing pages, and tiled pages. Click to the next page, next pair of pages, or choose to scroll continuously - horizontally or vertically. You can even choose to view your entire piece on screen at once with a tiled view. No other music notation software offers this flexibility.
