A New Industrial-strength Volume/Expression Pedal!

For 14 years, the famous BOSS FV-300 served as an industry-standard volume pedal. The tradition continued with the FV-50 series, but today the bar has been raised with BOSS’s new FV-500H (high-impedance) and FV-500L (low-impedance) pedals. These tank-tough die-cast pedals are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding customers. The pedals offer a new stylish design, a road-tough build, and a comfortable, smooth action. Both models also provide an expression output for use with expression-compatible amps, effects, and even synthesizers.

The versatile, heavy duty FV-500H pedal functions as a mono volume pedal for hi-Z instrument level sources.

This is a great pedal and will recommend it if you use a pedalboard and a tube amp.

Pros:
It's built like a tank and don't need any battery.
Can be used like an expressio... read more [+]n pedal.
You can assign the minimum and max volume levels.
It has a tuner output.
Smooth pedal action.

Cons:
Even when fully depressed (to minimum volume) you can hear a very minimal amount of your guitar signal, althought I primarily use this pedal for live performances than recordings, so it doesn't bother me at all.

Up to now I had always used my guitar volume knob, but this pedal has made my life much easier. Just make sure you put it at the end of your guitar effect's chain but just in front of the delay so you don't affect the last repetitions of the delay signal. close [-]
