Customer Reviewsfrom Midwwest USA June 17, 2012Music Background: Singer-Songwriter Best 12-string in price rangeFirst off, this has two major pluses: it's well constructed and has great sound. The guitar has minimal ornamentation, but is does show great attention to detail in the construction--no sloppy joins, the frets are well dressed and the factory setup is great. The neck is solid but not clubby. The sound is well balanced, with a bass presence that is not muddy, and well-articulated treble that does not sound tinny. The only reason I can't give this a five-star rating is because of the tuners. The posts are about 1/32-1/16 too short, and will cause problems when restringing because it is difficult to get sufficient wraps around the post for it to securely hold a tune. So while it is good for a second guitar or to have for those songs where one feels a 12-string is necessary without breaking the bank, this is a great buy. But if you plan on a 12-string for your main guitar, my advice is save up your pennies and go for a Guild.
