Boss FDR-1 Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb Amp Pedal ReviewsSweetwater Advice

I about fell out of my chair when I heard the "springs rattle" in the FDR-1 reverb the same as you would from the real amp. Boss has outdone themselves. I have never heard a more accurate model in my life! I immediately bought one for my rig!!

If you're mid-project, on a budget, and HAVE to have that '65 Fender Reverb sound, I highly recommend the Boss FDR-1 pedal. Plug in a Tele or a Strat and you're at least 90% of the way there!

Boss FDR-1 Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb Amp PedalThis will make any amp sound good. Makes a solid state amp sound like a tube. Even ran it through my miniature Fender Twin (cheapo $50 play amp) and got a great recordable tone. You can also run this through the effects return on an amp bypassing the preamp. BUY THIS. AmazingFirst off, I have to say that I am not a fan of pedals, but this one does an amazing job of emulating that bright Fender sound. The vibrato is adjustable and the gain & volume can be adjusted to seamlessly jump from the pedal being on or off. The weak point is the reverb; it makes the "spring rattle" too often and loud and is best at a one-half or lower intensity. Even so, the reverb is much better than I anticipated and can be used in combination your amp's reverb. I haven't used the gain enough to comment. I use a power adapter, but the manual admits that it may be hard on batteries.I have used the pedal with small tube and solid state amps and numerous guitars and it sounds great with all of them. from mason, ohio May 2, 2010Music Background: semi pro boss fdr-1this pedal layed an egg after eight months. boss couldn't give me another one. |
