Customer Reviewsfrom United States April 28, 2012 Music Background: Been around Excellence In a 12 String!I own the F412 maple version. A bit brighter in sound than the rosewood F512 and what a piece of eye candy. For a 12 string, it's like playing air guitar, (you know, "like butter"). F412 or the F512, a choice you will never regret. Built to last. The best 12 string for the money, period. IMHOfrom Minneapolis, Mn. February 21, 2011 Music Background: Multi-Instrumentalist, Engineer, Band Member Dream Come TrueI heard the 512 on many recordings before and always thought "what a great sounding guitar" but thought I would never get one so I classed it as a passing dream. Well, miracles do come true it seems. I finally heard a guy play one in a duo act live and was blown away by the sound and decided then and there I was going to try and save my $$$ for one. It was real hard but (now) I own that Sunburst F-512 and all I can say is, if you only own one 12 string acoustic in your life, make it this one. The crisp clear highs with the strong bottom end will bring tears of joy to your eyes. I normally plug into a board but even unplugged the sound is fantastic. The setup from the factory is very good with low clean action making it very easy to play. The sound projects clean weather in a large room or a studio. You can't go wrong with the F-512. The sunburst one I bought is beautiful.from GA May 13, 2010 Music Background: Artist Guild F512First off let me say that working with Sweetwater was a breeze. From proto-types to new or used listed inventories. The ones that consistantly blow em all away are the Guild 12's especialy the 512 Jumbo Rosewood models. The flexiability of this instrument is amazing. From ballads to explosive whaling, they sound....Guilds like afull orchestra. Sweet, responsive, absolutly the best!from Bourbon, IN USA July 10, 2008 Music Background: Hobbyist/Collector Indescribable!Although this guitar may seem pricey, it's worth EVERY penny you will pay. Not only are the different woods that construct this guitar great for tone, but they also improve with age allowing your guitar to sound more full as it gets older, ultimately making this purchase an investment that will grow. After owning and playing this beauty for months, I would recommend EVERYONE who can afford the F-512 to buy it as a flawless guitar and an increasing investment.from monticello, ny November 16, 2009 Music Background: giging musician a rosewood guild 12 string is hard to beatthis is a fantastic 12 string. the tone cannot be beat and i have owned several 12s including a rosewood martin. its a good idea to get this with a factory installed pickup if you plan to play out. i can tell you that guitars of this quality greatly increase in value as the years go buy so its really an investment that you get to enjoy. |
