The Eureka sports a compressor with variable threshold, attack, release and gain makeup. It offers a soft knee compression mode, as well as a high-pass filter on the sidechain for frequency dependent compression, which is useful for de-essing and other frequency specific compression applications.

The Eureka has instrument, line and microphone inputs as well as switchable gain reduction for the VU meter, dual outputs (TRS and XLR) that can be used simultaneously and an optional digital output card capable of up to 24-bit 96khz output on AES/EBU or S/PDIF. In addition, the unit has a 48-volt phantom power unit with an 80Hz rumble filter, a -20dB pad, a phase inversion button and balanced send and return jacks for inserting outboard gear.

"The Eureka is an inseparable part of my studio and I use it on almost every guitar track I record. Just get your hands on one of these because hearing is believing."

"The Eureka is the single most-used piece of gear I own. Virtually everything I record is tracked through a Eureka. It's also my go-to channel strip for every live sound gig I do. For overdriven guitar, spoken word, or anything in between, the Eureka rocks, both in the studio and on stage!"

"The Eureka is about as "secret weapon" as you are going to get. If you have $1000 to spend on a channel strip, this unit is still in the game. 90% of the time, my customers call me back specifically to tell me what a good recommendation it was. The other 10% of the time, they call me back to buy another one, THEN rave about it."

"Since I got the Eureka, I've been running anything I record through it. Not only is it super clean yet musical, it gives me a ton of flexibility and control with the parametric EQ and compressor to tweak my guitar and vocal tracks."
