Customer Reviewsfrom Ogunquit, Maine August 14, 2012Music Background: Prof. Piano/Vocal Cabaret Performer One of the best purchases I have madeThis is a great system. Sounds great, simple to use, easy to set up, enough EQ features to make you sound great- but not so many buttons to have to spend a lot of time "tweaking". The criticism I saw on here was about the stands- I agree, these are small and very portable -- however they are suitable for some uses and the best part is the speakers also have a standard hole for regular size speaker stands should you want to use something a little more sturdy. At any rate - an incredible value for the price. Thinking of buying a second one for basic traveling theatre use.from Bluffton, S.C. February 26, 2012Music Background: none Escort 300It's perfect for our use! The sound quality is great and it's easy to set-up and transport. Marvin was very helpful and pleasant to do business with. I was surprised and really appreciated the phone call after receiving the system. I did not expect this level of service from an internet order. Thank you so much.from Northern California April 27, 2012Music Background: Live Sound for Monthly Gathering, Singer A good deal for the priceThe Peavey Escort 3000 is everything I expected from its description. It's very compact and easy to put together, all the cords, mics, a small mp3 recorder, even speaker stands fit neatly into the "pod". I do have to carry a mic stand separately. The sound is very good, although you might want to add a higher quality microphone for richer sound. I use this for a gathering of about 30-50 people, plug in an mp3 player for music and accompaniment, and record directly from this unit into a compact mp3 recording device. BIG PLUSES: (1) One of few small, inexpensive portable systems that has output for recording. (2) I love the ease of putting everything together into one package that can be rolled to the car and stored in a small space. (3) Straightforward setup, everything is clearly marked and easy to figure out. I needed something that I can not only use myself, but can explain to non-engineers. This fits the bill perfectly. ONLY MINUS: This system is a bit heavier than I had expected, even using the wheels. from Ronkonkoma, NY December 7, 2011Music Background: Barbershop Bass, Contemporary Christian Music. Daughter all current covers and classics. Perfect for the small to medium venuesI bought this for my daughter as she performs weekly in a small venue here on Long Island. Not only does this system perform exactly as I expected, it is easy to set-up and take down. Her performances are enhanced and I no longer stress about getting her the perfect system. Thanks to Jon G. for all his help with all my families musical needs! Peace!!from Holtsville, NY January 26, 2012Music Background: Musician, singer, Dad Love it, using it, don't take back the good, but here's the badHere's my issue. Ben using it since my last review. Love it. Easy , sounds great but... This is not for you of you perform in a small venue and people want to interact. First of all, the stand is very wobbly. Scary how much it moves when someone comes near it. Secondly, the footprint is huge. By that I mean, it's easy since the stands legs stick out so far, for someone to trip. Think of the lady who has a few drinks and wants to say hi and hear a particular song. Tripping hazard. My biggest problem is that It's too wobbly though. Peavy said, that's the way it was designed and we have no other stand for it. I think the exact quote is we use "special tiny poles". I can easily design a heftier pole to fit. Boo Peavy for not listening. Thanks though, still love the sound..
