Epik Drums - A Ken Scott Collection is a groundbreaking drum and groove instrument in the Drum Masters series that brings together for the first time the key ingredients of classic album drum sounds: the original engineer, the original drummers and the original studio equipment. Over 30 years later, Ken Scott (who has recorded the likes of the Beatles, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Elton John, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Dixie Dregs, and others) has gotten back together with the original drummers he recorded on those warm analog '70s albums "back in the day" to recreate the multitrack masters as interactive playable instruments using today's music software technology.

The drum kits and grooves included in this product were performed by an all-star line up of legendary drummers, including Bill Cobham (Mahavishnu Orchestra), Terry Bozzio (Missing Persons), Bob Siebenberg (Supertramp), Woody Woodmansey (David Bowie), and Rod Morgenstein (Dixie Dregs). Each of the drummers were re-recorded in studios around the world using the same rare analog gear that was used on original classic albums such as Crime of the Century, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, Night of the Living Dregs, and more.

The kit samples are mapped for the keyboard and e-drums with plenty of velocities and round robin alternating hits. The real live played audio grooves of all five drummers are provided as multi-track REX for flexibility in tempo with discrete mic mixing as well as authentic stereo mixes by Ken Scott. You get additional drum kits in the style of the Beatles and Elton John, bonus percussion, and more!
