Apple and Apogee worked closely to ensure the new Firewire Ensemble not only sets new standards for sound quality and performance but is also a natural extension of Logic Pro 7. Ensemble is the first all digitally controlled, professional audio interface, designed specifically for the Macintosh.

36-channel simultaneous audio
Ensemble features 36 channels of simultaneous audio, including eight channels of Apogee's legendary A/D and D/A conversion, four transparent, digitally controlled 75db mic preamps, eight channels of ADAT I/O, 2 channels of S/PDIF coax and optical I/O, and FireWire connectivity to and from the computer. Ensemble also includes such Apogee's features as SoftLimit, UV22HR, and Intelliclock.

Maestro software for advanced control of Rosetta, AD-16X, and DA-16X
Maestro is an innovative application that offers advanced control capabilities over Ensemble in addition to those available in Logic Pro. These include multiple low latency mixers, an input and output routing matrix, and a universal control platform for using Ensemble in combination with other Apogee hardware.

“Were you comparing a $3500 ad/da to a 2k 4 channel pre and firewire interface? I think the Ensemble and Duet lines are absolutely fantastic! For the money, nothing on the market comes close. High headroom pre's and killer converters! If you want apples to apples against a Mytek get a Rosetta 800. If you want the best interface money can buy, get this!”
