Customer Reviewsfrom Space Coast FL May 6, 2013Music Background: Sound Designer SuperbThe fine people at Waves make some of the best VSTs you can get. So when I herd that they had just made a Synth I looked it up, then went to sweetwater to get it. I was so glad I did. It sounds so good, the filters are top notch, the arpeggiator is super sweet, and the LFOs are just crazy. This is a perfect synth for making all kinds of sounds. It will make bass, spacey pads, and screaming leeds. And the FX are very nice. I would recommend this synth to everyone. Element is superb.from Birmingham, AL March 4, 2013Music Background: All of the above Real sound quality and lots of manipulation for little $$.If you're used to software synths, then you know finding one that sounds really good is hard enough, let alone one that sounds good and is affordable.Waves as a company has defined the standard in software audio quality and does not let down with Element. Immediately upon installation, I was easily finding my way around on the interface, and a lot of the presets were immediately usable...although what fun would that be when there is so much to tweak? The installer allows VST, RTAS, and Audio Unit Plugins...as well as a standalone interface for using the plug without a DAW. While it is a brand new synth on the market, I don't see many preset offerings just yet so you'll have to do some tweaking on your own to get the exact sound you want. This isn't too bad with a usable EQ, Effects, 2 OSC, and unbelievable matrix LFO routing and set up. Add to that a step sequencer and a built in soundset not found on any synth out there as I know it. A great addition to any electronic producer's pack, and for the keyboardist/laptop hybrid musician this is a Godsend. from Westerville, OH February 16, 2013Music Background: Experienced musician/producer Great SynthWaves is know for high quality audio plugins, this is their first ever virtual instrument. They took there time and got it right . I really like the fact that it also functions as a standalone. The sequencer is probably the easiest, my logical one I've seen. The UI is all laid on in a very logical straight forward manner. The sound is great, and the presets are pretty good.
