Music Background:  Long time player

If you've actually played the "real" instruments, you know what it's like to have to settle for sounds that - while perhaps good in their own right - just don't quite capture the "magic". That's been my experience with EP sounds from Fantoms, Motifs, etc. and every other EP VST I've tried. They are all "good enough" or even have a ceratin character of their own which is appealing, but NOT the real thing by a long shot.

Elektrik changes all of that. The Rhodes' are outstanding ... you can get just about any kind of Rhodes sound you've heard anywhere, from the sublime to the nasty ... everything from the pure bell-like tones to the Chuck Monte "Dyno" sounds to over-effeced Vangelis stuff ... and it all sounds dead-on to my ears.

I am especially picky when it come to Wurlitzer EPs, which are usually neglected with is kind of VST. It's all here: Supertramp tones, Queen, Ray Charles, etc. ... anything you want. Most telling to me is that I can recreate sounds I used to get out of my long-ago-parted EP200A ... things I've never heard anywhere else. It's got the "brap" that Wurli players are familiar with!

Just shut up and get it.

Electrik Piano

Great sounding easy to use Electric Pianos. In Stand alone mode it works amazingly. In Pro Tools 6.4 though there are problems. Native Instruments was quick to respond to my tech support email. They are working with digidesign to get the problem fixed. I am able to use most of the sounds in pro tools. Just one sound at a time and record it as audio right away. great samples and there is an update to stream from disk and some smaller sized (Takes up less RAM space ) patches. Check out the web site when you get it.
