A lot of guitar for the money!
by Rob from Cabot, AR, September 2008
Music Background: Been playing for 25 years.
First of all let me say that I have always been a Les Paul guy. But after playing this thing for a few months I dont ever want another body shape. I love the way this thing feels!! Like other posters I moved the strap button to the back of the neck by the neck joint. It solves the neck heavy problem when standing. Playing while sitting with this thing is a blast. You right arm lays perfectly on the guitar while you play.
I had a fit trying to get it intonate though. The stock bridge is trash! I bought a roller bridge which gave me more room to intonate and tada! Problem solved.
Pickups are good, not great but good. I may upgrade them one day.
The toggle switch was noisy. My guitar tech did something to it to fix it. Not sure what he did.
The guitar is light as a strat which is nice.
Action is very fast and there is unrestricted reach to all the upper frets. Its a good shredder.
For the money, I am very happy with this guitar.
Strap Lock

Yes I hate that the neck falls when you let go. Put the strap lock on the back as close to the neck as possible. Thats where it is on the Gibson model. I helps alot!!

ok, it's not a gibson but alsmost there. Replaced the pickups with dimarzio PAF's and also replaced the tuners with gotohs and i am one happy man!
Looks great on stage turns heads. feels very close to the original and of course does have the character sound (replace those pickups though)
Solid guitar ahead of its time

The 58 epiphone korona features the explorer bodywhich is appealing to heavy rockers such as myself its looks are always sure to draw a crowd this version also comes in gothic you may want to get strap locks though, its neck is designed so you can reach the higher frets for those screaming sounds
