Customer Reviewsfrom Nevada USA April 19, 2012Music Background: Pro Musician Very poor constructionWhen you put two pieces of wood together the preferred "strong method" is to screw and glue. These speaker stands use very short dowels and glue to hold the stands together. Thats it. So visualize this: 42" high stands with thirty pound speakers on top of them. My stands lasted thirty days before I had to go to Home Depot to get some brackets that would stabilize the stands from falling over. For the price these stands are terrible. Particle board, with glue dowels. As soon as I opened up the box and discovered that I had to glue these stands together I was totally dismayed. I wanted to return them but my wife said she would glue them together for me. Come on Sweetwater, drop these stands from your product line or at least tells us we need to use glue to make these stands! Did I forget to mention that you have to wait 24 hours to let the glue dry before you use them? Rubbish! These stands did not ship with glue, you need to supply your own. Once bitten, twice shy.
