Sweetwater Advice

Brian Cravens
I love the 335 for its ability to perform fluently in so many different genres. Jazz, Country, Alt Rock, Classic Rock, Modern Rock. This body style is timeless, and will grow on you. The 1960s slim taper neck is my favorite, and lends itself to incredibly fast playing setups. '57 Classic humbuckers give us what Seth Lover invented as the solution to 60-cycle hum, yet turned out to be so much more, including the classic tone behind many of rock's greatest solos. This is truly a historical guitar in many ways, yet still 100% relevant in every detail.

I bought a Vintage Sunburst about 3 months ago and I have had a difficult time putting it down. I have always been curious about hollow bodies in general, but this one takes the cake. I play it through a Fender Blues Deville an nothing else. I have a LP and SG and have always used pedals, effects ect. You won't need anything but the guitar and amp. It has unbelievable sustain and will feed back at lower volumes that won't tear your head off. I would recommend it to anyone, but it is a bit pricey. Play one at your local music shop and see what you think. I did, and I didn't stand a chance, I forked over my credit card shortly thereafter. I guess that's a good thing? The factory sets the action a little high so I adjusted it to my liking. ( a personal thing). I wouldn't recommend it for a heavy metal application. Overall it just plain kicks *** an I would make the purchase again.

I got an excellent sample ES335

2 years ago I bought a Fender Showmaster FMT from you to find out that the bridge where 2mm off, so I was a little hesitant this time. Spoke to your technichans before and maybe that helped. I know that there are differences, each guitar is unique. I can only say that the one I got is superb. It sounds and feels amazing. It is no doubt the best guitar I´ve ever played on. Thank you. Hooked up to my fender amps (1 x 12, 22W deluxe reverb and a 50W 4x10 Concert Reverb) this guitar sings beautiful. I play in 2 bands and know a lot of musicians and the ones who have seen it are stunned. Someone told me that Gibson have improved certain quality aspects in the production lately and that the guitars are currently "better" than it used to be. If you consider this guitar I can only say one thing. Don´t wait. I also own a LesPaul, 2 strats and 1 tele. Nice guitars that I love but from now on I know the ES335 will be my favorite. Very happy. Can also recommend Sweetwater, friendly helpful staff that you can trust. I will return and recommend you to my friends.
