This thing really works! We mixed a project for a very discerning client in our new mixing room. When they listened in their studio, the mix was boomy. We knew we had some bugs to work out in our new room, but after our clients' negative reaction, it was critical to fix it. NOW!
Jeff Law recommended the KRK system, and after a few minutes of setup, the difference blew us away. The re-mix was not only accepted by our client, but they commented on how clean and pristine the new mix was.
This thing really works!

KRK ErgoI really love this unit, I had spent a lot of time and money on my room, trying to get the sound right. After I installed the Ergo and about 15 min. I was finished and on my way to a better mix. I tested the system and my mix sounded the same in the studio and in the car. This was well worth my money.

I own it, Great Product! This thing really works!! After doing the easy calibration process, press the little focus/global button and hear the difference. It's amazing how you can hear your mix stand together and controlled. It becomes clearer and all the boominess goes away, letting you hear your bass frecuencies tight and solid. And the best part of everything is when you take your mix elsewhere and it hears GREAT!!! No more time wasting car checks...
IMPORTANT: It's not gonna solve all your problems on a very bad environment though. It's a very good complement for your system, not a complete acoustic solution, but definitely recommended for making your room better for mixing.
The only reason I gave this unit a 4.5 is that you can't bypass the D/A converters and the A/D conversion from the analog inputs is not very good.
If you want great results, use it through the S/PDIF input or as a firewire interface only.
Very Recommended, you won't be disappointed.
