to enjoy your digital music (fromwhatever source), hearing the music/podcast/book is whats important. Yes the Bose Sound Canceling Head phones are incredible, but they are too bulky, a bit pricier then we are talking about and for sure, don't fitinto you pocket when you are done with them of i you want to listen with one ear, to keep the other ear opens for.... These headphones are the ones, a bit pricey, moderately so, but well worth it..Buy the ER-6 not the ER6i slight difference these aare the ones, I have a few pair just to insure they won't disappeare anytime soon
