Whether you're recording, rocking out onstage, or playing in controlled settings, you'll always have the right drum set in the E-Pro Live Custom. The real shells and hardware are made to work with Pearl's Tru-Trac electronic drum heads and responsive brass cymbals, so you get an incredible electronic kit that matches the dimensions of an acoustic kit. Thanks to Pearl's r.e.d.box drum module, you get a huge range of sounds and kits, for the ultimate in versatility and playability. Best of all, when you want to play acoustically, you can simply remove the electronic heads, put on real heads, and play! The E-Pro Live Custom is two kits in one! Before Pearl's E-Pro Live Custom kit came along, you had two choices if you wanted the best of both acoustic and electronic worlds: use iffy triggers on your acoustic kit and invest in interfaces and modules, or sink your cash into both an acoustic kit and e-drums. E-Pro Live Custom neatly solves the problem for you, because it's literally both kits in one package! You get Pearl's ultra-realistic Tru-Trac heads, which respond realistically to your playing while they minimize acoustic noise. Real brass cymbals provide the playing feel you need, and the classy look you want. What's your favorite kit sound? Or do you have several faves? Sit down at Pearl's E-Pro Live Custom kit and you'll find the sounds you love. How? Behold the r.e.d.box, the "brain" of the E-Pro Live Custom kit. Pearl didn't just make the r.e.d.box to give you great sounds; they loaded it up with a staggering 1,000 amazing sounds and 100 different drum kits! What's more, this powerful module has a built-in sequencer that lets you record your own patterns or play along with existing tracks. If you tour hard, don't get this one, go with the roland stuff. We got this when it came out, as a live band, the "real drums look" sucked us in.
