Customer Reviewsfrom Los Angeles, CA February 16, 2009Music Background: Teacher - hobbyist Incredible Sound QualityI picked up a pair of these JBL EON 510's last week, and I'm so glad I did! I have a Roland RD-700GX, which sounds great at home with my studio monitors. For about the past year, I have been experimenting with keyboard amps trying to get the same quality acoustic piano sounds in a keyboard amp for the coffee-house gigs I play. Long story short, nothing has come close - even the high dollar stereo keyboard amps I've used. The highs will be OK, and the bottom end will usually be pretty good. BUT, the mid range (where I'm usually playing chords with the left hand) sounds terrible. These JBL's sound great, and they are easy to transport. I read someone say that they don't get too loud, but that has not been my experience. Plugged directly from the keyboard in stereo, they are plenty loud for my needs. And I found if I run the signal through my small Mackie stereo mixer, they get even louder. Now, keep in mind I'm doing a solo jazz keyboard act. I've recorded backing tracks (drums, upright bass, guitar) on my USB thumb drive, and I play piano live. I'm not trying to shake the floor. My number one goal was sound quality. But the bottom end is great for my needs. I looked at the Bose system, but the cost of buying two of those is a little over the top for me. I have finally found my perfect rig, the RD-700GX with a pair of JBL EON 510's. Couldn't be happier!from San Juan, Puerto Rico September 4, 2012Music Background: rock producer JBL EON 510's ... incredible speakersPerfect for small rooms, and great for hooking up to a stereo fx loop for fx's. with my box amp. Straight forward; very focused sound; impressive for such a small footprint. They are a breeze to carry to you gig ... !! No matter which way you look at it, I am certain you will find the perfect use for these. On the other hand, It would be nice if they could be a little louder !
