Great light-weight speaker

These speakers are incredibly light which allowed me to get them shipped to Afghanistan. I run karaoke for the troops here and these speakers allowed me to design a truly lightweight system that produces excellent sound with a minimum of equalization.

JBL 305

Recently bought a pair of these. Don't know the problem the other reviewer had but I did a lot of research before buying these and they sound quite nice - and they're built surprisingly stout - yet they are so light. I'm playing a Roland RD300NX and 700GX through them in addition to vocals and powered by a Soundcraft 1000st GigRack - the sound is excellent! I especially like the way they prop on the floor in the perfect position for floor monitors - they are being used however for both floor monitor and FOH depending on the venue. The only drawback I've encountered is that they don't stack on top of each - very minor. Overall, one of the best bangs for the buck if you're looking for JBL quality and consistency.

oh one last thing...the color of these is a medium grey (slightly on the dark side). In some photos they are overexposed and appear as a lighter grey. Instead the appearance is very tasteful - so much so that I also bought the protective bags that go with them.
