Nice Price, great tone and feel

I love the Gibson Les Paul but the price tag is more than I`m willing to pay. Anyway, I was hesitant to purchase a guitar that I never saw or felt before in person but I know Sweetwater rocks (been buying gear from them since 1996) so I decided to take a chance. The guitar arrived in incredible condition. Sweetwater does a great job setting it up beforehand, just amazed at how good this guitar played out of the box. I played it for hours after it arrived!!! The color differed slightly from the website but the feel and sound of this guitar is so good, I cannot complain. I use it mostly for recording sessions, running through some Boss pedals and the Vox AC4 amp (another great little amp to check out). The biggest difference I can tell between a Gibson (which a friend owns) and the Epiphone is that the Gibson weighs more and has a slightly longer sustain. Soundwise, they`re pretty darn close, even my Gibson friend was impressed! Keep rocking.

WOW! WHAT A GUITAR!!!!

This is got to be one of the finest guitars I've ever laid my hands on! It sounds and feels just like a Gibson, as a matter of fact better than a Gibson because the electronics are dead silent on this guitar snd it's a 1/3 of the price! It came already perfectly set up, all I had to do is tune her up and lightly adjust the pickups and I was off ROCKIN'!!! I'm primarly a fender man, but now I'm going to broaden my horizons and include Epiphone too! The tone from this instrument was phenominal, full of that classic, chunky LP tone and tones of sustain. I'm glad I made this purchase.

haters shut up

I read a thousand reviews of this guitar and 99% are great but there are some who say that it sucks cause gibsons have louder pickups or this one has veneer. Well I bought this cause it rocks for the $$. The Haters can pay a few thou more for louder pickups and an extra 1/8" of flame maple(the ep has a regular maple top w/a real wood flame veneer), and I hope they enjoy somebody has got to keep Gibson in business.
