Even though I am a keyboardist I bought the Epiphone Les Paul Studio bass to lay down some bass lines while recording in my studio and sketching out ideas. I've got to say that I've been impressed with the tone from this bass. Super fun to play and I think it's very cool that you can get a bass guitar with Duncan-designed pickups at this great price point. Stop thinking about it and just get it, you'll be pleasantly surprised, I was!

Okay, $349.97, really? I appreciate the low price but, the price by no means reflects the awesome quality of this guitar! I am just so thankful that I was able to find a guitar I could afford with all the playability and feel of the "real thing"! I bought this Epiphone so I could retire my Rickenbacker. I really wanted a Gibson but I just can't afford one at this time as I am disabled and do not have a pocket full of money. So I figured that I would order the next best thing and it was just that. In fact, I wouldn't be afraid to say that this guitar is just as good as it's top of the line counterpart.
The Studio fits me perfectly. I have short fingers and I need to have a comfortable guitar to be able to play at my best and the Studio is that. It arrived set-up and ready to go. No dead spots, no crackles in the sound and just as sweet as could be.
I really love this guitar and I would recommend it to anyone considering a guitar in this price range.

You'll save a lot.. and have a lot, too!

I own the sunburst epi lp studio. had it about six months.
Grover tuners are excellent. Hold tune and tune easy. Look great, too.
Set neck, tons of sustain.
I play this everyday, and I own ten guitars, all more expensive.
True, I did modify mine to my taste, and that helped. But the basic guitar, stock, at this price is really quite a bargain.
Not a single problem with it, and nothing but fast action.. excellent fretwork by epi on this model.
a little heavier than some, but that doesn't bother me at all.
with just a few small changes, this will stand up to guitars costing lots lots more and the lifetime warranty is something epi will probably never have to make good on.. built well enough to last easily.
I spent more on upgrades than the guitar cost.. and as I said, I own a lot of guitars. Well worth every cent.

unbelievable!!

This is the most amazing piece I've ever owned - and I've owned (in 40+ years)just about all of them . . . dollar for dollar the best bargain ever - my 3rd epi in the last 18 months, and all Chinese! Epi's hardware is much-improved over what it used to be, and their pickups do not have to be automatically replaced - I've been recommending this (and the 335 studio, and the Masterbilt acoustics) to all my students who are looking to upgrade (and even to people who have more expensive but crappier instruments)Like I said - the bestbargain I've ever found . . .

Very Underrated Guitar!

Mine is a Custom Shop Limited Edition, Alpine White Model which has 22 frets,Mahoghany body and neck, rosewood fretboard, dot inlays,2 open coil humbuckers, etc. The only faults that I could find with this guitar when I got it home were that the intonation along with the string and pickup height, needed to be adjusted. Once I took care of all of these problems, I was blown away at how well this guitar stays in tune and at the quality and the tone of the pickups. One thing that I did notice was that there is a slight bit of hum and feedback if I get too close to my amp with these pickups, so I recommend that you use either a noise gate or as I do, a Digitech RP series processor. Other than that, this is one very well made guitar. I couldn't find any problems with the frets, electronics, imput jack, or the 3 way pup switch at all. I have a feeling that this will last a long time and is IMO, a welcome alternative to those of us who can't afford the outrageous prices for a US made Gibson.

I can talk to my Sales Engineer about any piece of equipment, and he always steers me in the right direction. He truly knows what he's talking about, and he never tries to over-sell me on anything. If he worked in the Nashville area, I'd probably owe him about 20 dinners by now!
