Highly underrated!

This thing has sooo much character! It is such a shame that I do not hear more great things about this pre--I was so impressed with the unit I originally bought here at Sweetwater, that I bought a second one shortly after. I cannot say enough that is good about this unit!

Granted, the unit is bereft of things like metering, and is "simple", but it sure packs a lot of quality to make up for it! Build qualitiy is very solid, and the sound is unlike anything I've tried to date. I've used Grace pres, Dav , Buzz Audio, and a few others, and while I won't get into the the topic of which is "better" since their tonal qualities can differ so much, I WILL say that this preamp is so UNIQUE in it's tone that it is immediately justifiable to have a few of these!

I just got in a discussion with someone else who owns one of these, and we both agree that this thing excels with ribbons! He stated that put a Ribbon mic into this along with a sax nd it is an instant trip to 1944. I would have to agree! I am primarily a sax player, and this preamp is everything I could ever want for tone on my instrument! My dream preanp for my instrument--I have tried to envision this sound for a long time--In my head I always knew what I was looking for in my sound, and this pre delivers!
