Part of what started it all

P bass in your dreams. More broadband and smooth, but still very much an idealized P-Bass. If you want rude peaky tone, probably not the grail. EMG does have a lot of cachet with metal bands, but this is a very good Precision tone for anything.

P Bass in your dreams

They are sort of P-Bass in your dreams in megabuck studio. The usual EMG merits of quiet and lots of signal apply. If you want a more rude P-Bass vibe there are better choices. If you want ideal P-Bass with more bottom and top in a well behaved package you have found a potential holy grail. Lots of studio players bought this pickup and it is part of what put EMG on the map.
