Great Guitar!
by JessicaGonzales from Austin, Texas, December 2008
Music Background: Hobbyist/Student
I love everything about this guitar the pickups, the color, the cutaway, the body thickness, the lightness. but the only 2 things i dislike are the kneck dives (from being top heavy) and the fat kneck.
i have kid size hands but its a 50s style kneck so beware. and i was told to fix the top heavey problem was to move the strap button, so ill look into that.
Amazing guitar! PLAYS JUST LIKE A GIBSON!!!
by Greg from Boston MA, February 2008

I got this as my second guitar and i was completely blown away by the sound and playability. This guitar plays just like a gibson but can be hundreds or thousands cheaper! A few of my friends have similar gibson models but there is basically no difference except the price. A GREAT BUY AND WORTH EVERY PENNY!!
G400 custom A Great Axe...
by Costoman from Israel, October 2007
Music Background: 35 years of Guitar experience, musician and veteran of many performances
The only drawback is somewhat :"muddy" sound while all 3 hums "on".
Please note - 3 volume a 1 tone pots thus the player can blend the sound from the 3 hums, a grand property of this special guitar!
A gorgeous finish and fine value for$.
NICE

I REALLY LIKE THE SOUND,THE LOOK, AND, FEEL.
IT IS A BIT MORE WEIGHT THAN I LIKE,( MY ONLY COMPLAINT.) THE 3 HB PICK-UPS ARE GREAT. THE MORE YOU PLAY IT THE MORE YOU LIKE IT..
Just an adjustment or two.....

I can't say anything bad about my G-400 Custom except the dog won't stay tuned. I have a 2006 model and the b and g strings always play havoc. I am investing a bit of time and $160+ to bring in some Sperzel Locking Tuners, Gotoh retainerless bridge and a Gibson TP-6 fine tuning tailpiece. It's true the retainer bridge on mine...the saddles are so loose they will vibrate back or forth, so intonation hold is horrible. Gotoh has a unit to fit the large posts without a mod. Having trouble actually locating TP-6 in Gold, so Schaller may be the option.
Besides that, I truly love this guitar. I just think Epi should go with a reatinerless bridge and make the intonation stay a bit more true. The other changes are just icing on the cake.
Excellent

This is excellent guitar. It suprised me by it's excellent sound and tonal range. This far surpasses my Gibson LP Standard on all accounts. It is beautiful guitar with all gold hardware and glossly finish, but it's tone it way more beautiful.
