Customer Reviewsfrom USA December 30, 2008 Music Background: Lead guitarist in a band A very indepth reviewTo start out with, I ordered this guitar and when it got to me there wasn't a scratch or dent on it, the finish was beautiful - the factory strings suck though; I replaced them with super slinkys. The body is really nice, resembles a Gibson SG very well. It comes with the speed knobs (not very fond of them myself but got over it). The neck feels just like a Gibson, and the cut-a-ways let you reach the 22 frets with ease. This is great guitar for people starting out with guitars but for pro's if you replace the pickups with Gibson '57 classic and Gibson '57 classic plus, you got a beautiful replica of a Gibson SG for around $600.00 in total. The pickups that come in it have very nice cleans but when it comes to overdrive, it's very hard to find that one tone you're looking for, good for Metallica though (that's why you should replace the pickups, the Gibson pickups have good cleans and over-drive). The machine heads didn't give me a problem whatsoever; they stayed in tune very well. If you want the dot inlays you should go to ebay and look up "Guitar inlays" But over-all it's a really good guitar. from Athens, PA USA February 14, 2009 Music Background: Working on becoming a professional musician. Perfect GuitarWOW, is all i can say about this guitar. For the price of this guitar, its pretty darn great. I tuned the Intination on this baby and its perfect. It came in perfect condition. No scratches or anything. The stock strings are crappy and tinny. i slapped some Super Slinkys on it. I would consider even replacing the pick-ups. The neck action is great to. I would recomend this guitar to any intermediate and long-term players. Buying a guitar from Sweetwater is an exellent choice where you couldn't go wrong. These people are the nicest people to handle your instrumental needs or wants.from Gryslake, Illinois USA April 8, 2007 Music Background: student goodgood little guitar that will ;ast you a while. I would say its good for begginersfrom Yuma, AZ February 14, 2007 Music Background: Learning guitar, volunteer sound tech. Solid valueI bought my SG a year ago, and I love it. My only complaints are the neck is a little flexy, why not put the output jack on the side/bottom like an LP, and the pots are either on or off. Mine came ready to play right out of the box, intonation was spot on, action low and fast with no fret buzz. I bought a "Blemished" guitar, though I have no idea what gave it that classification. The finish was awesome, all the protective stuff was on the plastic parts.from July 26, 2006 Solid Start with Room to GrowThis guitar is definitely geared towards a beginning guitarist, but it truly shines in that field. The action is very smooth, the tuners hold the strings in tune for quite some time, and the general look and feel of the guitar is very pleasing. The stock pickups tend to be somewhat murky, but that is to be expected from a guitar in this price range. Fortunately, upgrading this guitar comes quite easily. Once you feel you've "earned" it, upgrade the pickups, put on an expensive set of strings, and you end up with a guitar of surprising quality.

September 1, 2004 Nice Little GuitarI bought one of these back febuary as my first guitar, so i've had time to tell if it's worth it or not, and it is. it sounds pretty nice to, I've played every thing from Rolling stones to Metallica and it sounds great. This guitar will give you a little more for your money than a squire tele or something.I recomend this for a beginers guitar.
