Double the Fun!

Unlike the �standard� double-neck version, the Epiphone G-1275 Custom is patterned after the vintage �custom� version played and made famous by Led Zeppelin guitarist, Jimmy Page. It features exposed coil humbucking pickups on the six-string neck for a hotter output and the stop bar on both necks positioned about 2� further back on the body. This changes the overall string length, which in turn decreases the bass string tension allowing for improved playability and fingering. Furthermore, with the increased string length the tonal characteristics of the instrument is changed.

This is probably Epiphone's finest solid body, and I use the term literally. A freind and guitarist just got one of these, and the Epiphone Korina Flying V (another great guitar) and I'm really impr... read more [+]essed. The neck's are one piece maple, the body is mahogany and the top is solid flamed maple - not a veneer. the tuners and hardware are essentially the same parts as on the studio and standard Gibson guitars, if not the same part number. The build quality is the highest I've seen on an Epi solid body. Pickups aren't bad. A very Nice guitar(s) close [-]
