Takamine's TK40 preamp system
The EG511SSC sports Takamine's TK40 preamp, giving you rich, clear-sounding amplified output - instantly. A feature of G-Series guitars, the TK40 features a gain knob, a tuner, an active EQ with bass, middle, and treble sliders, and a low battery indicator. The preamp is switched on by plugging a standard instrument cable into the endpin/strap pin jack. Unplugging the cable turns the preamp off. The TK40 is powered by a single 9 volt battery.
