What did I expect from a six hundred dollar guitar? The same thing I expect from my big money purchases. Enjoyment.July 24, 2012 Music Background: Session Player/Collector I got that and then some. It's a tiny bit quiet on fingerpicking, but it's a SMALL jumbo, it just doesn't have the air to move the nuances of gentle fingerpicker, but boy does is sparkle if you amp it. It's clear, it's sensitive and it doesn't get muddy when you push it. I have but one complaint, the gold hardware. I like the nickel finish on my guitars, and I can live with the looks for the quality of the tuners. These things hold a tune for a month with good storage, easily. I opened the box, and was playing it before the bubble wrap hit the floor. Kudos to Sweetwater on a fantastic set-up. I was hesitant about buying a "cheap" Takamine, but this is a keeper. My son will own this guitar in 30 years. Along with a few others, but this one isn't a wall hanger, it gets played. A lot. The frets are holding up extremely well, and that's more than I can say for the Epiphone and Fender acoustics I own. This is a quality piece, built in a cheap labor force country. But there is certainly someone with a keen eye on quality control at Takamine. If this got dropped or broken by accident today, I would order one tomorrow. No doubt about it, this thing plays up to it's looks, and it's certainly gorgeous. Every expectation I had was exceeded. close [-] Also popular
