Customer Reviewsfrom Auburn, NY April 3, 2013Music Background: Church Musician Great for a NewbieI've been a keyboardist for 30+ years. I recently started taking guitar lessons. After 3 months with a "beater" instrument, I purchased this Takamine. I explained to Dave @ Sweetwater what my challenges are (big hands). He recommended this instrument. This guitar is so easy to play. I am getting so much more for my money out of lessons. I love it!from North Mankato, MN. December 13, 2010Music Background: Hobbyist: Sweetwater and Takamine are top notch:I've been playing guitar on and off for over 50 years and now that I'm retired I decided to get back into it. I purchased a Takamine EG260C and a Roland AC-33 amp, both from Sweetwater and have been extremely pleased. The Takamine plays like a dream, and the amp is just what I wanted. I love the Roland battery power option, in fact I run it on batteries more than plugged in, it,s just so darn handy to grab and setup any where with plenty of power either way.I want to thank my service rep, Josh Estock, and Sweetwater for the excellent service. I will definitely be purchasing from Sweetwater again. from Wyckoff, New Jersey January 11, 2013Music Background: musician, engineer, hobbyist, producer, overall music lover takamine eg260c reviewThe Takamine EG260C (G-series) 6 string (electric) acoustic guitar is great to play, & even better to look at. For the price of this guitar it's more than i expected. It strums & sounds beautifully. It got a 3-band eq , & a onboard tuner. The neck feels good, not very smooth, but it does play quite well. Quality hardware also, with woods that are known for their superior sound. The great thing about the Takamine EG260C 6-string, is that it won't break the bank to obtain. Great quality for it's price tag. I'm very pleased with it. And Sweetwater's 55 point inspection, ensures that it'll arrive to you ready to rock, with no intonation issues, or too high action. Which for a guitar bought through the mail, without even playing it yet, says a lot! I've have total confidence that any guitar bought from them will arrive ok!!Sincerely, Phil Metro
