The guitar itself seemed to have a good build quality. My particular model had a couple of bad tuners, and the bridge seemed awfully high. The string break over the bridge was so sharp that the windin... read more [+]gs on the E and A strings was seperating. I think that this may have contributed to the tuning issues. Those two strings would not stay in tune long enough for me to get an idea of how the guitar would actually perform. When I showed it to my local guitar tech, he recommended a Godin, which I now own and am very happy with. close [-]

i just purchesd a sst clasic with a 2" inch nut with what a great guitar i have many guitars including fender telly my favorite electric a taylor 710 and pianos drums fretless squire jazz bass and aft... read more [+]er playing several nylon string guitars of this type i decided to purchase the epi and it is just a great insturment honestly i played the gibson model and there was no real diference except the price it is like playing a nice les paul with nylon strings definently worth more the variax 300 is nice but at twice the price if you dont want the features the variax offers the epiphone is smokin the neck is thin meaning the profile it is alot like the gretch guitar that chet atkins played and seeing that chet designed the sst how can you go wrong great buy at twice the price close [-]
