To capture the full range of the Jack Casady Signature Bass's acoustic bass sound, Epiphone outfitted it with a specially designed JCB-1 low-impedance humbucker. Not only does this humbucker capture the Jack Casady Signature Bass's thump and growl beautifully, it also gives your sound the kind of clarity you don't typically get from bass pickups.

VariTone control makes dialing in the perfect bass sound as simple as turning a knob
Epiphone's VariTone circuitry is a truly unique beast, and it's part of what makes the Jack Casady Signature Bass such a fun and distintive instrument to play. The VariTone control lets you dial in the impedance of its active humbucking pickup from around 50 ohms to around 500 ohms, seriously affecting your sound. As you turn the Jack Casady Signature Bass's VariTone control, you shift its tone from even dynamics and full tone to a punchier response with a narrower sound and plenty of bite. This gives you an absolutely massive sonic pallet to play with!
