MUST HAVE!

I didn't know what I was missing out on, not having a volume pedal in my chain. More specifically, after my drive section of my board. It makes all the difference. I'm able to get the distorted sound I want and run a solid signal into the front of my pedals without blowing up the rest of my signal chain with a huge distorted signal. This pedal also works great for swells. No more knob rolling!

Quality wise, I love this thing. It is smooth with just the right amount of resistance so you don't accidentally go toe to the floor when you step on it and blow ear drums out. Super great pedal!

Good

It's great to have a volume pedal on your board. Great for swells. Controls volume, but also some tone depending on where you put it in the chain. For now I've got it at the beginning just after the tuner. It works pretty much like my 250k volume knob on my Tele so I try to keep it full volume all the time for the best tone. Smooth functioning and seems solid.

Works great

I bought this pedal to use for my steel guitar because I got tired of paying more because the product said it was a steel guitar pedal. The Ernie Ball pedal says it's a guitar pedal, not steel guitar but it works great for the steel! I'll see how it holds up because you use the volume pedal more when you play. It's a well built unit with smooth action that's adjustable and a nice wide platform for your foot. I'm going to change to guitar cords with angled ends to be able to get the pedal closer to the pedal bar on the steel. Over all,it's a great product that does what it was designed for!

Great pedal for Pedal Steel

I have been using the Ernie Ball 6180 VP JR 250K Volume Pedal at my home for a pedal steel guitar and found it to be perfect. My only suggestion is you consider angled plugs for this application due to the space constraint between the pedal bar and the volume pedal. The volume pedal is silent (to my ear using headphones into a Mackie mixer) and has an even response.

Durable with great quality

It's hard to find a regular/mono volume pedal that isn't an expression pedal lately (in my opinion). They also tend to cost a lot (again only my opinion). I like to use a volume pedal for keyboards, but also guitar (mostly just to shut off the signal totally). That's why I got this pedal. Much credit goes to Sweetwater too. I ordered it one day (in the am), and rec'd it the next day in the afternoon (all with free shipping). Thanks -
