I play a 60's era Epiphone Cortez and wanted something inexpensive for traveling. Though the tone isn't as seasoned or complex as the Cortez, I like everything about the EL-00. I ordered it with the TUSQ nut, but found the tone really improved when I installed a bone saddle and switched to medium-light strings.
