Fantastic! This guitar is great! The quality, feel and tonality is amazing. It delivers on what it promises: a fast neck with great pickups and a sweet Floyd Rose system. I highly recommend this guitar. If you are unsure if you should pull the trigger on purchasing the guitar, do it, you will not regret this purchase. Of course, a big thanks to everyone at Sweetwater for their amazing service; as always, thank you.

Charvel Desolation Soloist DX-1 FRYou won't find more of a guitar at this price anywhere. The factory setup was almost perfect. intonation was off just a tiny bit on a couple strings. You get neck-through, the holy grail of EMG metal pups (81&85 active). To top it off, the sustain is amazing! This guitar is absolutely beautiful. I love the fretboard inlays, they look great. My favorite guitar has always been my Charvel Model 6 that I bought in 1986. Looks like that just changed.

Excellent Guitar for the priceThis guitar is worth every penny that you pay for it.I have been playing for longer then many of you reading this have been alive. I've owned every high end guitar thats been made and this guitar is every bit as good as any of them. It came set up perfectly and plays and sounds great. I wouldn't have minded a tone knob but its not a big deal. Being made in China might put some people off but it would be your loss. The finish and the build quality are top notch. Getting neck thru construction and a real Floyd Rose for this price is very hard to find. If your a rocker you can't beat this guitar.

Excellent Guitar! As an active musician I find this guitar to be one of the best, non-USA/Japanese crafted I have ever played. The neck has the classic Charvel feel, with the added satin finish, its extremely fast. The trem is a Ping shop OFR, which stays in tune well. The neck-through body construction makes access to the top frets very comfortable. Having active EMGs (81/85) I had no need to put in better pickups. I have had it now for about a month, I have played live with it, having no issues at all. If your looking for a good, solid shredder, at this price, you would be hard-pressed to find anything else as well made.
