Yamaha Ups the Ante on Great Electronic Drums!

The Yamaha DTXTREME III Standard electronic drum kit moves the legendary drum manufacturer's bar up once again, giving you redesigned cymbals, an updated kick tower design, and a great new drum module that uses the same technology as Yamaha's MOTIF XS synthesizer. The DTXTREME III Standard kit includes 3-zone snare, tom, and cymbal pads, snare and hi-hat stands, and a foldable lightweight aluminum rack that's easy to transport, setup, and store. Yamaha knows drums, and it shows with the amazing DTXTREME III Standard kit!

The brain
The DTXTREME III drum module provides the "brains" of the operation, giving you over 1,000 onboard drum, percussion, and special effect voices. Using the same technology used in Yamaha's MOTIF XS synth, the DTXTREME III module also includes over 100 General MIDI voices and includes an internal sequencer. You can even install optional memory for sampling capability! Working in concert with the DTXTREME III Standard kit's 3-zone drum and cymbal pads, the USB-equipped module gives you the flexibility and functionality you need to take your drumming and creativity to the next level!

Realistic and responsive playing surfaces
The DTXTREMEIII Standard kit includes the TP120SD 3-zone snare pad, three TP100 three-zone tom pads, a PCY135 three-zone cymbal pad, PCY155 three-zone ride cymbal pad, RHH135 hi hat, and updated KP125 kick drum trigger. The snare and tom pads have the onboard controller knob that allows trigger adjustment on the fly. You can adjust snare tension, or the pitch, voice assignment, song/click tempo, filter on the snare or toms. The new cymbal pads choke when you grab the edge, respond to the lightest touch, and feel great. The RHH135 attaches to the included hi hat stand using a modified clutch. The cymbal goes up and down like an acoustic hi hat cymbal, and is pressure sensitive so the pitch changes when the pedal is pushed. The KP125 has a large playing surface that feels like an acoustic drum, and easily accommodates a double pedal. The spurs on the new kick trigger hold the pad securely in place, even under the hardest playing.

Sturdy, lightweight, and dependable hardware
The DXTIIISTD includes a lightweight aluminum rack that is sturdy yet easy to transport and fold up when you aren't using the kit. The kit also includes Yamaha's updated 600 series hi hat stand, SS-662A snare stand, CH-750 and CH755 cymbal booms.
