The Government Series Flying V

Grab a guitar destined to be a collectible with the limited-edition Gibson Government Series Flying V solidbody electric guitar. In August of 2011 the US Government raided the Gibson factory in Nashville and seized a large amount of wood. The seized wood, mostly rosewood, was eventually returned. This limited-edition guitar sports a rosewood fretboard that was seized in that raid. The Government Series Flying V gives you genuine Gibson sound and looks in an affordable US-made guitar. Limited to a run of 300 guitars, each Gibson Government Series Flying V guitar includes a custom olive green hardshell case and a Certificate of Authenticity hand signed by Henry Juszkiewicz.

Some Gibsons had huge mahogany necks, but by 1960 the company made a number of modifications until those early '60s necks became among the fastest available. The special rounded neck profile of the Gibson Government Series Flying V is one favored by many of today's top players. You can move up and down the neck at blazing speeds, but the rosewood fingerboard still has that warm, classic Gibson feel, allowing easy access to the upper frets so you can really dig into your solos.
