From Our Research Team:

A Brilliant Blend of Vintage and Modern

Blaze your own trail with the versatile Gibson Nighthawk. The Nighthawk quickly became a favorite among a wide range of players after its introduction in 1993, and the 2011 model is better than ever. Gibson USA remained true to the original Nighthawk specs with a poplar body, maple neck, and traditional Gibson scale length. The Nighthawk 2011 shows off a new AAA-grade quilted maple top and a slick nitrocellulose lacquer finish. And with vintage-style appointments and a timeless look, you get the best of the past while looking towards the future with the Gibson Nighthawk.

Gibson Nighthawk at a Glance:
  • Built for sustain
  • Versatile pickup configuration
  • Powerful electronics

Built for Sustain:
Gibson designed the Nighthawk for rich tones and lots of sustain. The light yet solid poplar body is topped with AAA-grade quilted maple for extra presence and bite. The set-neck construction maximizes vibration transfer, and the strings-through-body design makes the Nighthawk sing for even longer. If you want a powerful sound and sustain that won't quite, the Nighthawk is your guitar.

Versatile Pickup Configuration:
The Gibson Nighthawk features a versatile combination of two Burstbucker humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge positions, with a ceramic eight-blade pickup in the middle position for truly unique tonal combinations. And the two humbuckers can each be switched to single-coil mode, thanks to the push/pull coil tapping available on the volume and tone knobs.

Powerful Electronics:
Gibson's Nighthawk gives you easy access to a plethora of sounds, thanks to its powerful electronics. A five-way pickup selector lets you choose the perfect blend of the Burstbucker humbucking pickups and the ceramic eight-blade pickup. On top of that, each Burstbucker can be coil-tapped to choose between beefy humbucking tones and biting single-coil sounds. With this many tonal combinations at the ready, the Nighthawk is ready to handle any style of music.

Gibson Nighthawk Features:
  • Smooth-playing guitar with versatile tones and incredible sustain
  • Premium body wood with AAA-grade quilted maple top deliver great form and function
  • Combination of Burstbucker pickups and Ceramic Eight-blade pickup give you access to unique tones
  • Coil-tap electronics let you choose between single-coil and humbucker pickup types
  • Gig Bag included

Our Customers Say...

Ninety-five percent of everything in this studio came from Sweetwater. My Sales Engineer is a lifesaver. I started working with him around 2005, talking to him about what my vision was for the studio. He was right there all the way.
