Phenomenal amplifier with true Marshall tone

This amp is phenomenal. True tube sound. I originally had a Epi VS Special (which by no means is a bad amp) but in the showroom I have the chance to try this DSL401 and fell in love. I sent back my Epi and got this Marshall. The tone is unparalleled with anything I have heard. It screams with volume far stronger than you could ever need in practice, and will certainly handle well gigging. I run an Epi Les Paul Elitist Custom through it and the true LP tone is really brought out with this amp.

Simply put, this amplifier is very simple. The only special effect being reverb (if you call it an effect). Straightforward rocking with this.

I had a listen to some fender amps - they did no seem very exciting.
I then heard this amp --- everything turned up to 10 on the OD1 channel - via the Marshall Power Brake - and it was awesome - got a great gunners sound even with a strat. I bought the amp then and there .... then on bringing it home i've play some early dire straits via the clean channal (sultans of swing) and it sounded great - my wife who hates me playing the guitar even thought is sounded "like a live performance" ... i love this amp ... it has everything from clear cleans to super sustained distortion. .. on the clean only pump up the master volum, and keep the clean gain to b/n 3 and 5 ... otherwise it will become muddy ... but that maybe what you want for a more blues tone. ... all in all i love this amp.

Very good amplifier. good overdriven sound and very useable clean sound. You need to keep the reverb at around 5 or 6 b/c it is quite week but i love this amp. It comes highly recomended
