Customer Reviewsfrom July 20, 2012 I'm impressedTerryThis is the ticket for anyone wanting a real time assessment of sound. When your playing you may think it sounds great but this lets you know what it is. Get this for that next step. from United States May 3, 2012Music Background: Pro Musician Great RecorderQuiet internal microphones, quiet preamps and great overall sound!from New Bern, NC January 2, 2013Music Background: Too Much to list... Great Field RecorderLets start by saying I bought this to replace an aging M-Audio Micro Trac II. I needed a portable field recorder that had Phantom power AND Digital inputs. this has both. when I use by external preamp or patch off of other rigs I need the Digital input. no other unit in this price range has the digital inputs. the quality of the internal preamp is outstanding. it truly feels like a long awaited replacement to my old Tascam DA-P1 DAT Recorder. the side mounted level control is very nice. I did a field test with the built in Uni mics - there pretty good. have not tried the Omni ones and doubt I will they are more for lectures and stuff.Wish List - Digital OUT for making chains... thats about it I think it has everything else. from Tulia TX December 10, 2012Music Background: videographer AmazingI video our church video announcements with a Nikon d5100 which records terrible audio to we purchased the Tascam and it has been amazing great quality easy to use!
