Audix DP-5A ReviewsSweetwater Advice

My Audix DP5-A mic set gets used constantly - in both my studio and for miking my band's drummer when providing our own PA for shows. In both cases, the Audix mics always provide a carnivorous tone: beefy and meaty! (Can't afford the whole set? Then treat yourself to just the Audix D-6 kick drum mic. You'll be AMAZED at what a mic can do for your drum sound!)
Customer Reviewsfrom Saginaw, MI USA February 17, 2012Music Background: Recording Engineer nice micsThese things sound great. They give a nice representation of the drums. The i5 gives a nice sound to the snare and gives you some nice options when accompanied with a Sm 57. Over all these mics are great and will add more options to your mic locker.from Canada November 16, 2011Music Background: Producer/Recording Engineer One of the Greats!I got the Audix DP5a just a few days ago and I have to say this is one of the best drum mic packages I've heard so far.Go with the DP5a and not the DP7 the included overheads aren't worth the extra cash. Save up and buy some nice overheads. |
