Works Great

I got this during the rebate and ordered the handheld mic so that I have two body packs and one handheld and I absolutely love it. There is no cross interference like you normally get with analog signals and set up is easy. The hand held mic has a lot of handling noise which I was disappointed with. But I use one body pack with my bass and another with the AKG C520 L and it works amazingly. The sound is very clear and consistent. I haven't been able to use it in a live setting yet, just in my studio practice area but I really do like it.

Very impressive

First I'll start by saying this is the first wireless kit I've ever put out for. Right out of the box it's an impressive system. Syncing take seconds and you are ready to work. Clarity is unmatched in my opinion. An as I tested the distance it was even more impressive. Must have been easy 200ft. We set it up in a church. Walked out and to the end of the property then down the street. Got just a little down the street when it cut out. Impressive because the line of sight was through 3 concrete walls and a house before it cut off. The one issue that did come up which is why I couldn't give it 5 stars was the fact that out of the box the antennas don't work properly. You have to pull the base of the antenna out about a 1/4 inch for them to stay in place. AKG says that's not supposed to be. Sweetwater sent a replacement and the issue persists. However the team at Sweetwater is actively working to get a unit that doesn't have any issues. It's expensive for just a regular person like me but we'll worth the cash so far.

It's stunning & Amazingly clear, BUT...

I seem to be the first and only person to use this unit for my basses. I thought it was excellent that you can have FOUR independent signals recieved at the same time and sent out spearate, summed. or any combination of both. This unit has a true uncomprssed signal that reproduces EVERY detail & harmonic perfectly. BUT if you use ACTIVE pick-ups, the transmitters produce an audible hiss. I got tech support @ AKG & this is a known issue, but NOT with this unit until now. NO FIX so far unless I insert a 1/4" to 1/4" -10db pad barrel connector to the transmitter cord, THEN into the my bass. Not exactly sleek in appearance to say the least and cumbersome even when tied to my strap. I hope they come up with a fix ASAP!!
