This is simply the best preamp you will find in its per-channel price range. It delivers surprisingly transparent, uncolored tone. I use it for my drum overheads, which require an even response across the entire frequency range, and it sounds clear as a bell. I've had mine for a year, logged around 40 hours through it, and have had zero problems. Great buy!

I purchased the DMP3 after hearing it in a shootout with other mic preamps at the audio school I attend. On Classical Piano, the DMP3 gave one of my favorite sounds that we got that day, beating out pres costing several times as much. Since I got mine, I have used it on vocals, drum overheads, and acoustic and electric guitar and have always been happy with the sound. It is clean and detailed and has plenty of gain for everything I have needed it for. If you are into modding, replacing the power supply causes an even better sound, especially with phantom-powered mics, but I still have mine in its stock form and am very happy with it. A very awesome product!
