Customer Reviewsfrom Maryland March 29, 2012Music Background: Hobbyist Great Entry Level Electronic KitI had been looking for a electronic kit to practice with in my apartment, since an acoustic kit would be too loud for my neighbors. I use drums for some recording, but I am not a professional drummer by any stretch of the imagination. These drums definitely fit my needs - they sound good enough to record, since you can adjust the volume and drum sound of each pad (I didn't need a middle tom between the high and low, so I changed it to a ride), the pads are realistic enough to make me feel as if I am on an acoustic kit.My only issues are that it doesn't have a true midi out, only a usb, and the kick pedal included with the kit needed a lot of adjusting for my playing style. Overall, I am very happy with this kit and hope to use it for years down the road. from Cincinnati,Ohio January 17, 2012Music Background: Musician/Sound Enginner DM6I bought this for the price and the midi capabilities. Honestly its not bad. The internal sounds are not that good and the overall feel and flexibility is better than I thought they would be. Now the fun begins when I used EZDRUMMER LITE that came with PRESONUS studio one pro. The sound came alive. I upgraded to EZDRUMMER which now opens up so many possibilities. The DM6 is great as midi triggers for drums. And since I'm limited on space, getting great drum sounds for my recordings is now achievable.from Southern California, USA February 7, 2012Music Background: Hobbyist Great Beginner SetFor the price-range, this is the best overall NEW electronic drumset out there. I spent 2 months researching and demoing every sub $500 set for my 9yr old daughter to get started. The DM6 module is great (except for the crash cymbal sounds which are more "smash than crash") the frame, pedals, snare, hi-hat and ride, and kickpad are great. I don't care for the toms, they are too hard and therefore loud when plaid. The snare has the perfect feedback level while allowing for near silent stick noise, the toms are like hitting a plastic a hard solid plastic circle with 1/8" of neoprene on top....CLACK, CLACK. We just turn up the amp or she uses headphones...no big deal. She loves to play and that is the most important part. You simply can't do better in this price range, feature set etc....if you want new. |
