From Our Research Team:DI on SteroidsThe Behringer Ultra-DI Pro DI800 Active Phantom Powered 8-channel DI Box is a rackmount DI with sufficient inputs to accommodate everyone onstage or in the studio. Direct Injection (DI) boxes, of course, let you plug guitars and basses, keyboards, etc. directly into your board. For impedance matching and signal integrity, they're indispensable. The DI800 is a DI on steroids. With its active circuitry, it sports buffered inputs that won't pollute your signal (as passive DIs can). December 30, 2011 Music Background: Drummer, Guitar Hack, Live Sound Hack Excellent product
by Larry Delceg from Phoenix, AZ USA
Perhaps I'm a bit of an audio snob, but Behringer is not usually my brand of choice. However, some of their products are hidden gems. And this is one of them. It is clean, QUIET and remarkably transparent. I have previously read a few user reviews on other web sites that claimed that this unit is noisy. This is nonsense. I suspect that they were padding and boosting their gain stages inefficiently. Its always a pleasure to find a product that is a tremendous bargain - a lot of performance for the money. Sure, its not an expensive boutique DI... but for practical real-life stage use, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another. close [-] Great At A Great Price

It can get better than this great price, great quality. I highly recommended.

The ability to eliminate ground hum via the ground lift switch is spot on where this item shines is the ability to split the incoming feed to a balanced and unbalanced output for those looking to record guitar tracks with a blend of direct input and microphoned cabinet signal. In my case I used an audix i5 and it sounds intense. Great tones and a fat rich sound. If you're looking to fatten up your guitar tracks get this item, with 8 ins/outs you'll have plenty of room to accommodate multiple guitars and bass. close [-]

by Dan Moser from La Porte, IN
I was setting up 5 individual DI boxes each time. Behringer Ultra-DI Pro DI800 and an 8- short mic cable/snake made my set-up neater and I was getting improved signal strenth at the mixing board.
