Customer Reviewsfrom Canby, OR USA March 9, 2012 Music Background: I have been playing Electric, Acoustic, and Bass Guitar for 4 years now. The main inspiration for me to play is to use it to worship my savior Jesus Christ! :) Best In Its Price Range!I have been a worship leader for my youth group for the past three years and was in need of an acoustic-electric guitar of my own. I have been using my youth pastors Taylor (An $1,800 guitar) when I wanted to use an acoustic in the set rather than my electric. So one day I was in Guitar Center playing around with some high end Taylors and Martins when my dad handed me the somewhat cheap martin. The DCX1E. I strummed my first chord and absolutly fell in love with its Tone and feel. It was like honestly nothing else mattered for the time being haha. I was absolutly lost in the music this guitar was allowing me to pull out of it! I am saving up for this guitar as we speak! And the laminated sides and back are really nice for me because I go on a lot of mission trips and the humidity doesnt effect the "wood". The factor of this guitar not being "all" wood causes a lot of people to just turn it down when there's not much to beat it! Get it! It's amazing!!!from Bogota D.C., Colombia March 6, 2011 Music Background: Recording engineer, musician and jingle producer Simply AMAZING!!Started checking prices from low to high, even though it was out of my budget, I decided to get the money and buy one. It's worth every cent I paid for it... Simply amazing, best sound for that price. Don't hesitate, just get it and you'll be surprisedfrom Alexandria,LA,USA January 13, 2009 Music Background: singer/songwriter excellent guitarI have owned this guitar for about 5 years now. I have done my share of guitar playing and I have to tell you this is among the best I have ever played. For the price this guitar is quite possibly the best you can buy. I have played Taylors and Takamine's up to $4,000 and they do not have the clear beautiful sound of this guitar. It is a confortable guitar for a full size. The wood finish means no fingerprints which to me is great. The pickup in it is very basic but it does the job. Im sure with the right people working on it you could upgrade the electronics quite easily. I have gotten many compliments on this guitar and my friend who recently bought a Taylor costing roughly twice what I paid said mine sounded and felt better. Its a great performing guitar and the studio sound is amazing. If you are looking for an amazing instrument in this price range you cannot beat this guitar. Even if you have more money to spend on a guitar buy this one and save the rest of your money, I guarantee you anyone who loves a crisp warm toned guitar will have no complaints.from Auburn, Al December 26, 2007 Music Background: Worship Leader, Sound Tech, Recording Artist Best Guitar I've ever played!I am a traveling musician and I am particular in what I want to hear and the Martin DCX1E is a dream come true! My Sales Engineer really did me right! I could not be happier!from Arizona January 10, 2011 Music Background: Pro Musician/ Worship Leader Worth Every PennyAs soon as I pulled this guitar out of the box and played a few chords I was in love. The sound was rich and full and the feel was amazing. If you are playing in a band it blends nicely or as a solo act this guitar really pulls its weight. I used it at two live performances this weekend and was very pleased with the sound. The only reason I couldn't give it a 5 is because of the electronics. When I plugged the guitar into the system the volume knob makes a loud crackling sound when turned. the "Patch" button makes a loud popping noise when pushed in our out. Everything else about this guitar was perfect and I'm very happy with my purchase!!
