Flexibility and Convenience for Your Pedalboard

The MXR Iso-Brick pedalboard power supply is proof that MXR has a finger on the pulse of guitar players and their needs. As always at MXR, they recognized a need for a pedalboard power supply that fits with the way music makers play and the gear they use to make their music - enter the Iso-Brick. Boasting 10 fully isolated outputs that are optimized to handle a wide range of pedal types - vintage or brand new, analog or digital - MXR's Iso-Brick is just right no matter what your pedal pleasure may be.

MXR Iso-Brick Pedalboard Power Supply at a Glance:
  • Modern or vintage, digital or analog - the Iso-Brick has you powered
  • Easy to add to any effects set up
Modern or vintage, digital or analog - the Iso-Brick has you powered

MXR realizes that the world of effects has grown. They understand that these days a lot of musicians use a combination of digital and analog pedals, so the MXR Iso-Brick outputs are broken down to give you a variety of voltages and currents. You'll have two 9-volt outputs at 100mA, two 9-volt outputs at 300mA, two 9-volt outputs at 450mA, and two 18-volt outputs at 250mA - Sweetwater's guitar experts know that having this much flexibility from your power supply will open up your world of pedalboard possibilities. And if that's all the Iso-Brick gave you, it would still be a great solution to your pedal power problems. But what makes the Iso-Brick the coolest thing to ever hit your pedalboard are the two variable voltage outputs. Adjustable from 6-volts to 15-volts at 250mA, these outputs are perfect for powering your hungriest pedals or for plugging in those vintage pedals you spent years looking for only to realize modern power supplies are close, but just not right. These variable outputs also give you the opportunity to pull even more tones out of your current pedal rig by allowing you to redefine your sound using voltage - without soldering or worrying about sparks flying.

Easy to add to any effects set up

MXR really went above and beyond to ensure that the Iso-Brick is everything you need from a pedalboard power supply. From the LED status indicators that keep you apprised of what's going on with each pedal you have plugged into it, to making sure you have flexibility in mounting options when you add it to your already crowded pedalboard, the Iso-Brick is simply the easiest way to clean up your effects rig and be done with that spaghetti bowl of power cables. And it's not just for guitar players - bassists, keyboard players, synth-heads - if you use multiple pedals to get your tone, you need the Iso-Brick!

MXR Iso-Brick Pedalboard Power Supply Features:
  • A rugged, reliable, and compact pedalboard power supply
  • Modernized for your digital effects pedals
  • Great for vintage analog pedals to get the tone you're after
  • LED indicators keep you aware of pedal status
  • Includes a right-angled power cable for pedalboard friendly mounting flexibility
  • Variable-voltage outputs let you change tone using voltage

The noise cancelling is amazing!

My house is off the grid and runs on solar and the power inverter is very noisy. Way beyond the common 60 cycle hum. This power supply did away with all the noise. It's great. I couldn't recommend it more. I'd give it six stars if I could. If you ever have to play with backup power from a no-break, rest assured, you'll play with no hum.

I also love the multiple voltage outputs and those two variable voltage outputs are great for fuzz. Allows me to adjust the voltage up and down to get great tone. Love it!

Side note. As others have mentioned, the white power indicator light is very very very bright. I guess it's meant to serve as a visible indicator when the power supply is under the pedalboard. But when placed on top of simple pedalboard it's just like a sun staring up at you. Nothing that can't be solved with a bit of tape though. Or an EQ as I did. ;) Fits just right over the power supply, kills the light and saves lots of space.

Solved my problem instantly.

My pedalboard is "old-school," with serial connections. I was having weird noise problems primarily from my BOSS TU-3 tuner (See photo of entire board) and BOSS CE-5 Chorus. I use the 2 OD pedals sparingly for low gain situations into my clean channel. Mostly I'm running into a high gain channel of Mesa Recto-Verb 50 or EVH LBX-S with the OD pedals not engaged. Switching out my prior power supply to the MXR iso-brick solved my problems instantly. The flanger requires 18V, and this actually has 2x18V ports. The build feels rock solid. Obviously plays really well with the MXR pedals.

MXR ISO BRICK works well

I don't write very many reviews, I actually don't write much at all in general so, this will be short. This is powering 7 pedals on my pedalboard, it has a wide range of options. It's quiet and it doesn't take up very much space. Cory Konyshak has been my Sales Engineer for a couple of purchases and has been great at letting me know the status of my order and helping me deciding on what equipment is best for my setup.

Game Changer!

This thing not only got rid off the annoying hum I was hearing when I was running all my pedals on a daisy chain, but the signal sounds so much clearer! I even had to turn down the levels on my pedals because I no longer had to crank them now that the signal isn't muddied. Added bonus that is an aesthetically pleasing little guy, love the blue lights and sleek design. Only complaint is I wish the power supply cable it came with was a little longer. But yeah awesome product especially for the price!

Shhh! You Hear That? Me Neither!

I am fairly new to pedals and accepted the hum and hiss as a given and thus, never really enjoyed the experience. After using an isolated power supply, the difference is like night and day! It costs a bit more to snag one of these but honestly, I am disappointed that I didn't get on a whole lot sooner. It comes with 2 18v outlets and the 6 9v and 2 variable ones that can be set between 6-18v. In the words of Ferris Bueller - 'It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."
