This amp delivers the finest tonal spectrum of any (of many) amp I have ever experienced. High end clarity with a divine saturated overdriven tube expression as required make this the perfect live or studio performer. Exceptional tube driven reverb and vibrato are off the chart and attainable volume is so amazing. Finest amp I have ever been so privileged to use. Vintage Fender tone I've been seeking forever is now in my arsenal and I believe the performance of this amp has enhanced my musical abilities. close [-] A huge disappointment

Where to begin? I've always played Fender amps, but never owned anything higher quality-wise than a Hot Rod Deville and a Deluxe as my backup. So after the Deville started giving me some problems, I d... read more [+]ecided to go for it and buy my first, REAL pro amp. The kind that goes over the $1000 range. I went for the Vibrolux Reverb.March 14, 2013 Music Background: Pro Musician, Producer So....got her home within five days of ordering from Sweetwater, plugged her in and was surpised at how glassy the tone was. Still, it was kind of warm with a nice punch, but didn't get the low end I like from a Fender. Overall though, I was satisfied, and took her to my regular gig with my Rockabilly band where we do 4 hour set times with two breaks. Imagine my dissapointment when after the first 2 hours, the amp crapped out and sounded like the speakers were blown or the tubes had gone out. Thank goodness I had brought my backup Hot Rod Deluxe. I called Sweetwater and they were awesome. They suggested sending me a couple of new 6L6 tubes and replacing them. I did but noticed a ton of noise afterwards. Just enough to be annoying, not enough to ruin a gig. Took the amp back to a wedding we played, and she made it through the whole gig. Whew! Then, seven days later, did a gig near Houston and the same thing happened straight after plugging in. So...called SW again and they were great. Accepted my return no problem. The verdict? Sure, I got a lemon. I'm sure there are some great Vibroluxes out there. And the customer service from SW is awesome. But Fender can't price an amp this high and then burden a customer with a $1200 amp when a $700 Hot Rod has never failed me the way this one did. close [-] fat fat fat
