From Our Research Team:Slash's Secret Solo SuperchargerThe Dunlop Slash Wah distortion and wah pedal combines two hot guitar effects into one rugged pedal, tuned to Slash's exact specifications. You get the classic Cry Baby wah sound and a custom high-gain distortion circuit for incredible lead tones. Best of all, the Slash Wah's distortion and wah modes can be used together or separately for even more tonal variety. If you want lead tones that dominate, check out the Dunlop Slash Wah distortion/wah pedal!Dunlop Slash Wah Distortion/Wah Pedal at a Glance:
Two iconic effects: The Dunlop Slash Wah proves that besides talent, all you need for a mind-blowing solo is high-gain distortion through a wah pedal! The Slash Wah came about after Slash became hooked on a distortion pedal he liked pumped directly into a Cry Baby, and would kick them both on at the same time for seriously searing tone. Dunlop saw the opportunity to combine their beloved wah with a custom-designed distortion circuit, and packed them both into one convenient pedal - the Slash Wah. Dunlop durability: Dunlop's been making Cry Baby wah pedals for the pros for years, so it's no surprise the Slash Wah is built like a tank. We won't actually say that the Slash Wah is apocalypse-proof, but we wouldn't be surprised if it survived a direct hit from a meteor. Slash's specifications: The top-hatted tonemeister wouldn't lend his name to a pedal that didn't rock as hard as he does. Dunlop's Slash Wah sports the Slash Signature because he loves how it performs, and you will too. Dunlop Slash Wah Distortion/Wah Pedal Features:

January 28, 2013 Music Background: Hobbyist in all styles, gigging rock musician Great pedal but more of niche purpose
by David Roberts from Olive Branch, MS
The GoodMarch 19, 2013 Music Background: This pedal is very well constructed and has a distortion circuit built in. The two mix knobs make a wide variety of tones available by playing with the mix. Overall it’s a gre... read more [+]at pedal. The Bad (or just different from other pedals) This pedal is somewhat nasally in its overall tone, part of the niche purpose. The distortion circuit only works with the wah circuit engaged. The wah will work independent of the distortion circuit. My biggest complaint with this set up is the plunger switch that activates the distortion circuit. It rarely works well activating with just a foot, you have to bend down and pull it quite often. The problem with this is that the pedal will break your signal chain when the wah circuit is disengaged and the distortion circuit fails to disengage. For this reason I would not suggest this pedal for performing live but does okay in the studio. Overall The tone of this pedal is great for that “Slash” type nasally growling tones. If you’re doing something with more of a full tone, this pedal will likely disappoint you. Combined with other “Slash” Octave Fuzz this pedal really comes alive with that niche sound. My only wish for this pedal is that the distortion circuit would not break my signal chain when it fails to disengage and I select the wah circuit off. close [-] Also popular
